Halloween kids arts and crafts: make a glitter pumpkin

Glitter Pumpkins

10-09 Issue-Finished_opt_0.jpegInstead of cutting a pumpkin open why not cover it with glitter and make it really sparkle. This project can be messy, but it is easy and fun to do! Spray your pumpkin with a matte finishing sealer to keep any of the glitter from falling off and preserve your masterpiece. Have fun!

Steps

  • Lay paper down first to catch extra glitter
  • Squeeze a small amount of glue into container
  • Paint a small section of the pumpkin with glue
  • Holding the pumpkin over the paper, carefully pour glitter over pumpkin to cover all the glue
  • Repeat until pumpkin is covered in glitter
  • If any part of the pumpkin is still showing, dab a little bit of glue on to that spot and pour more glitter
  • Using your sheet of paper, pour leftover glitter back into bottle
  • Set pumpkin aside to dry over night
