Biglittlethings
By Pete Davis
It was reminder of what once was, and a glimpse of what is soon to come. It was the evening we took our daughter and her “date” to a cool little local production, and felt like we were on a date of our own. but with the added bonus of getting to enjoy the kids’ excitement and delight at the wild and colorful maneuvers and illusions on stage.
Imago Theatre’s Biglittlethings isn’t just a fun “family” night out, it’s a fun night out. Biglittlethings is a splendid assortment of creative and original vignettes, performed by all manner of oversized critters, including, but not limited to polar bears, aardvarks, and some seriously confused seven-foot bunny rabbits. Set to an original score that keeps pace with the amazing adventures on (and off!) stage, Biglittlethings keeps you guessing and wondering all evening.
The show runs about 75 minutes, and we recommend that you bring your well-rested and fed 4+ year olds, parents and grandparents too. If you don’t catch them this time around, they will be back next year. biglittlethings is fast becoming a Portland holiday tradition!
