Tissue Paper Art

05-09 Issue Step 3_opt_0.jpegThis is a great craft project to do after a birthday party or whenever a few gifts have been unwrapped. Why not take all the leftover tissue paper lying around and do something fun with it like make some art to hang on the wall? This project is super easy and as beautiful as your imagination!

Materials

  • One sheet of heavy cardstock or construction paper in whatever color you like
  • Lots of different colors of tissue paper cut into 2" X 2" squares with scissors
  • White glue
  • Pencil
  • Colored pencils

  1. Draw out a design on the heavy cardstock
  2. Color it in using the same colors you are going to use for the tissue paper
  3. Wrap one tissue paper square around the end of the eraser side of a pencil
  4. Dip the end into glue and press it onto the paper
  5. Continue doing this for each square until your picture is filled with beautiful colors of tissue paper
  6. Make sure to sign your art so everyone will know who made it
  7. Let dry flat and then hang on a wall
