Festival of Flowers in Pioneer Courthouse Square

The Festival of Flowers celebration officially opens June 6th in the Portland’s Downtown! This year’s design of an Urban Meadow, created by The American Institute of Architects’ Committee on the Environment (COTE), will be on display at Pioneer Courthouse
Square through June 18th.

The COTE will recreate nature’s approach to sustainable landscape through an Urban Meadow created in a dense environment defined by human and architectural elements in Portland’s own urban center, Pioneer Courthouse Square. With the combination of wildflowers, vegetables, trees, ornamental grasses, colorful annuals and a life-size living canopy made of bamboo, the Square will be transformed into an amazing living display for all to enjoy.

All of the flower and plant material utilized in this year’s installation will be available for purchase during the annual Flower Sale at Pioneer Courthouse Square beginning June 19th at 8:00AM.
